Admin settings

Access, working calendars, caching, reports by people who left, the move assistant and health — for Jira admins.

Jira settings → Apps → RollGrid. Six tabs, all for Jira admins.

Access

Either everyone on the site can use RollGrid, or only the groups and people you list. Jira admins can always get in, so this cannot lock you out.

Access controls who can open the app. It never widens what anyone can see in Jira.

Calendars

The working calendar everything time-related is measured against:

  • Site time zone — which day a worklog belongs to.
  • Weeks start on — any day, for weekly columns.
  • Hours per day and working days.
  • Public holidays — one date per line.
  • Teams — a person-to-team map, used by timesheet and capacity grouping.
  • Leave — per-person days off, taken off available hours and short-week flags.

Caching and limits

  • Keep results for — 5 to 240 minutes.
  • Largest report — the work-item cap, 20,000 by default.
  • Hourly reading budget — points the whole site may spend an hour on report loads.
  • Clear all cached results — everyone's next open reads Jira again.

Reports by people who left

Finds reports whose owners are no longer active. Transfer each one to someone else, or delete them in bulk. Dashboard gadgets pointing at a deleted report say so rather than spinning.

Move assistant

For sites coming off a Connect reporting app. See moving from Pivot Report.

Health

Counters for the last 24 hours, by hour:

  • Loads, and how many were served from cache.
  • Updates only — loads that fetched just what had changed.
  • Points spent against Jira's rate limit, and anything throttled.

Below that, the weekly personal-data report's own history. Until the first one has run it says so explicitly — "no run recorded yet" is a different statement from "it ran and found nothing", and both differ from a log line that scrolled away. See privacy.
